Expect a powerful display of horsepower and transportation, plus great family fun during the Houston Airport System’s Aeros & Autos festival.
WHO: Houston Airport System
WHAT: Car show aficionados and airplane buffs can expect a great time as they admire some of the finest hot rods, rare cars, big block engines and low riders in the city. Experience an up-close and personal look at exciting displays from military organizations, the Houston Police Department, U.S. Coast Guard, NASA, Collings Foundation, and the Commemorative Air Force. General admission is $5 and children 3 and under are free.
WHEN: Saturday, May 9, 2009, 8:00am – 4:00pm
WHERE: Ellington Airport, 11602 Aerospace, Houston, TX 77034
WHY: While festival-goers are enjoying the food, live music and admiring the cars, planes, and helicopter rides, they’ll also help raise funds for two charities—the Texas Lions Camp and Helping a Hero. There will also be car show trophies for several categories including: Top 20 cars, Best Engines, Best Interiors, Best Paint, and Best of Show.
