Gary H. Lantner, A.A.E. Named President of HAS Development Corporation

HOUSTON, TX - February 18, 2009, -- Rick Vacar, Houston Airport System director of aviation announced that Gary H. Lantner, A.A.E., has been appointed President of the HAS Development Corporation. Lantner, a 40-year airport and airline corporate real estate executive, joins Robert C. White, who has been promoted to Vice President of Airport Services for the HAS Development Corporation; and Sandra C. Gonzalez, who has been promoted to Director of Business Development for the HAS Development Corporation.

"HAS Development Corporation is able to leverage the proven expertise of the Houston Airports both domestically and internationally," says Rick Vacar who also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors. "I am pleased to welcome Gary to the team as he provides support to market the Houston Airports' staff expertise and help others with airport and aviation challenges."

HAS Development Corporation offers a wide range of airport consulting and training services, which allows the client to be supported with nearly every aspect of airport management. In particular, HAS Development Corporation is available to partner with aviation consultants and contractors to add the airport-operator voice to teams as a differentiator to groups that typically respond to airport Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

"Our services include not only operations and capital development, but also planning, commercialization and training," says Lantner. "We look forward to joining consultant and contractor teams proposing on airport projects as an important differentiator as well as being available for direct assignments."

Lantner headed corporate real estate departments for major airlines in the U.S. prior to his appointment. He has experience in facilities planning, project management, construction and design or airport and airline facilities. Lantner earned a law degree from Suffok University in Boston and a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering and a M.S. in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is also a pilot and aircraft owner.

White held top management positions with airport authorities and airport consulting firms for 35 years. He managed, developed, and consulted for airports and passenger terminal facilities in Shreveport, Louisiana; Gainesville, Florida; Jacksonville, Florida; Newport News, Virginia; Reno, Nevada; Shenzhen, China; London City Airport, England; Toronto, Canada; Istanbul, Turkey; Auckland, New Zealand; Skopje, Macedonia; Basra and Baghdad, Iraq; Quito, Ecuador; and Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport. White is a former Navy pilot and is currently licensed to fly single and multi-engine aircraft.

Gonzalez brings over 19 years of experience in aviation, including 12 years of experience in the operation of George Bush Intercontinental Airport and William P. Hobby Airport. One of her specialties is working on airport certifications. Gonzalez was involved in the transition of the Quito Airport from a public to private airport operator. Under her leadership Quito became one of the first airports in Latin America to receive an International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) certification. As the Latin America program leader, Gonzalez is a primary participant on airport project bids and performs due diligence on airport privatization projects. Gonzalez graduated from a full residential airline cadet flight training program as a Boeing-737 pilot and earned the FAA commercial multi-instrument license. In addition, Gonzalez earned a Bachelor of Aviation Science and Management.
