Sweet success in the making The first time around the Houston Airport System’s Business Opportunity Networking Fair delivered a full serving of entrepreneurial success. Local business owners walked a way with a better understanding of the aviation industry – some even landed million dollar contracts on the spot. Last year, word-of-mouth delivered an even larger crowd and more success stories. Now the third annual fair promises another dose of aviation business savvy.

Seconds and life saving skills count when someone is having a heart attack Roshonda Passmore had just sat down for the morning roll call at 5:58 a.m. on June 6, 2008 when ever so softly – as is her nature – she made mention of a pain in her chest, then she fell out of her chair and lost consciousness. No one knew at first that the 33 year old airport security officer was having a heart attack, but almost immediately gut wrenching pleas went out to dispatch 911.

Some talk incessantly despite a teacher’s insistence that they be quiet, others doodle and write notes to each other, while others simply nap in class. Yet when Josette Dishongh walks into a classroom most students are all eyes and ears.
